February Wrap Up

In February I managed to read all the books I had on my TBR at the beginning of the month. I found most of the books really enjoyable and one has even made it to my all time favourite reads list! I found last month to be a really laid back month and I didn’t have to push myself to read because all the books were easy going and light compared to some months.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

This was a re-read for me. I have previously read Throne of Glass a couple of years ago but I have been wanting to re-read the entire series before reading the last books in the series. I really enjoyed starting from the beginning again and seeing how this epic story all began. I really liked how I missed other little points of the story the first time I read it, but have picked them up this time around.

On The Come Up by Angie Thomas

I have been wanting to read this book for a few months now and when I had the opportunity to read and review this book from the publisher I immediately said yes! I found On The Come Up to be another really engaging and interesting read from Angie Thomas. I thought that it stood out on its own and shines out with its own merits, rather than being another book by the author who wrote The Hate U Give.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Before I even started this book I had really high expectations. This book has been getting so much praise in the book community that I had very high hopes when going into read this, and thankfully this book is absolutely amazing. It is easily one the best books I have read in recent years and it has made it to my ‘favourite books of all time’ list. This book deserves all the hype and more!

Two Can Keep A Secret by Karen M McManus

Two Can Keep A Secret has been one of the books I’ve been most excited to read. I loved One Of Us Is Lying last year and I couldn’t wait to read this one. I love a good mystery book that will keep me glued to my seat and make me unable to put down the book and this book did just that. I think it is up there with One Of Us Is Lying. Its enjoyable, suspenseful and such a thrilling read.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

After reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo earlier on in the month and absolutely loved it, the expectations for this book were pretty sky high, and if I’m honest I was a little let down by it when I finished. I found it a little hard to connect with and it did take me some time before I really got into the story. I think if I read this book first then I may of liked it more.

Book Of The Month

My favourite book of this month was easy to choose because it was the book that I connected with almost instantly and I never wanted to finish reading it. My book of the month is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Everything about this book is pure perfection, the writing, the characters, the story, the pacing, the cover design. I could go on and on about how amazing this book is, but I have already done that in my review. The only thing left to say is go out and buy a copy of this book because you will not regret it.

  1. I’ve definitely seen a lot of hype for The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, so it’s great to hear how much you enjoyed it! It’s not something I would usually pick up but seeing such rave reviews from bloggers I follow I will have to add it to my TBR 🙂
