November Wrap up

This month was another slow month for reading. I am finding more and more difficult to find time to read because of the added pressure with work, but any free time I do have I usually spend it with my head in a book. Some of the books this month have been chunky reads and they did take me a while to finish, so I think thats another reason why I didn’t get much read this month. Hopefully next month will be a more productive month for reading, but with it being Christmas I don’t think I will.

The books I did manage to read in November were-

Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan

I have had the book sat on my self for a while and after being sent the third book in the series I thought it was time to finally start it. I can’t believe I left it so long before giving this series a go because I enjoyed every minute reading this book and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series.

Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan

After enjoying the first book in the series I had high hopes for this book. I wouldn’t say it is better than the first book but it’s definitely not worse. I enjoyed it just as much and will continue to read the series. I did feel the characters were a little more fleshed out in this book compared to the first book.

The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli

Again this was another book that I’ve had sitting on my shelf for a while and after seeing some really positives reviews, I thought it was time to read it myself and see what all the fuss is about. I am so glad I did give it a read because I absolutely loved every minute reading it.

Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King and Owen King

After reading IT a few weeks back I wanted to read another Stephen King book and when I read the description for this one I knew I had to give it a read. With it being a chunky book it did take me a while to finish it but I did enjoy it. I don’t think I liked it as much as IT but its still a good book to read.

The Traitor’s Crux by Jessica Prather

I read the description for the book a while back and I knew I had to read it as soon as it was released. I really enjoyed reading this book because it had everything you need for a solid young adult book. It kept me interested until the very end and it was a fast and easy read.

Book of the Month

My book of the month this month is The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli wasn’t hard to choose because I fell in love with this book straight away. The world, the characters and the storyline just grabbed me from the very first page and didn’t let me go until I read the last word. I loved how it was written and I could visualise everything so vividly in my mind while reading this book. I cannot wait to see where the series will go from here and I need to read the next book soon because I need to be part of this world again. I think this book could be one of my favourite reads of the year.
