Unboxing August Fairyloot

img_5973

The theme for August’s Fairyloot was Otherworlds, and I was really intrigued to see what sort of items they would include in the box. I didn’t know what to expect form this box because the theme was very vague, and it could of included anything and everything to do with fantasy. But now having unboxed everything I can say that all the items included fitted in with the theme really well.

Unboxing

The first item was this exclusive Witchsoul Candle from Book and Nook. I think this is my second Book and Nook candle, and this one has to be my favourite. Even before I took the lid off I could smell the gorgeous scent of the candle. There were five different scents sent to subscribers, and I got the Azareen candle that smells of lemon and vanilla.

The second item was this exclusive Handmade Velaris Pendant Necklace which is made by Oh Panda Eyes. This is a really pretty necklace, the pendant design is stunning, and it feels like its made from really high quality materials. The quote used inside the pendant is from A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas.

Another item included in this box was this exclusive Westeros Tea Strainer made by Fairyloot. I have had many samples of tea in quite a few subscription boxes and one of the reasons why I haven’t tried many is because I didn’t have the right equipment. Now with this sword tea strainer, I can try as many as I like. I really like the design for this and it definitely fits the fantasy theme.

Also included was this exclusive Neverland Notebook that is bought to us by TJ Lubrano. I think out off all the notebooks I have gotten from all the different subscription boxes, this one has to be the prettiest. The design is full of detail and is such a beauty to look at, I am considering framing it.

These exclusive Lord of the Rings Magnetic Bookmarks made by Paperly and Co, were also featured in this box. There were three different sets sent out and I was sent the Aragorn and Arwen bookmarks. These bookmarks feel really well made, and I really like the design of both the characters.

Another item featured in this box was this Fictional Worlds Sleeping Mask made by Fairyloot. This is the first time I have every received a sleeping mask in a subscription box. The mask is soft and silky to touch and is really comfortable when wearing it, and I really like the design of mask as well.

The final bookish item included was this exclusive Northern Lights Print, made by Melissa Nettleship. His Dark Materials is one of my favourite series, and I am so excited for the new book in the series to be released next month. This print is a very nice take on the city in the sky.

Finally the book for this month was Wicked Like A Wildfire by Lana Popovic. I am a little embarrassed to say that before unboxing this I have never heard of this book before. But now having read the description, it sounds like its going to be a book I will really enjoy reading. The cover for this book is one of my favourites, ever! The colours, the design, the typography, all make this cover so beautiful, I can’t take my eyes off it. Also included with the book was a signed bookplate and a letter from the author.

Overall Thoughts

The theme for this months box didn’t really excite me compared to previous themes, but I have to say that I really liked unboxing this Fairyloot. I think because the theme was so vague and I didn’t know what to expect from it, I wasn’t excited as I normally am. The items this month are very varied again, and definitely fit the theme really well. I shouldn’t let the theme title put me off because this box was full of different and exciting bookish items. All the items are such high quality its hard not to like every single item, and I can see myself using near enough all the items from this box.

If you are thinking to subscribing to FairyLoot then I would suggest signing up to their Newsletter and they will get in contact with you with new themes and the date for when the boxes become available to order.

Fairyloot

I have already subscribed to the next box, which has the theme of All That Sass. I am excited to see what items they have planned to featured in the box because I love the theme title and the suppliers that have been revealed looks like its going to be a great box.
