August Wrap Up

In August I only managed to read five and half books. It wasn’t a great month for reading. I thought that I would have read more while I was away on holiday, but I didn’t really find the time. I am happy with the books that I did manage to read because they were all really good reads. Hopefully next month I can read a little bit more.

Books I read in August-

Because You Love To Hate Me Edited by Ameriie

This was my first time reading a collection of short stories, and on a whole I really enjoyed reading them. There are a few stories I wasn’t too keen on and there were some that I really loved and wished they were a longer story.

One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus

This is another book I really enjoyed reading. I managed to read the entire book in one day and only in a couple of sittings. I found the book to be really engaging and the it had me guessing until the end.

The Shadow Sister by Lucinda Riley

I was really excited to start this because I love this series. It is completely different from what I normally read, but I really enjoy reading it. The story was interesting and was a perfect addition to the series, and as always the writing was tremendous.

House of Furies by Madeleine Roux

When reading the description for this book it definitely gave me the chills, and I was excited to start a book that would scare me a little. While I did find this book to have some creepy parts, I felt the story did fall slow in places, which was a shame.

Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau

I didn’t know too much about this book before starting it, but I have to say that I throughly enjoyed reading it. I found the story to be really interesting and the characters were really well developed. I can’t wait to read the next instalment.

IT by Stephen King

Technically I haven’t finished this book yet, I am only just half way through it, but I wanted to include it on this months because I have read a good chunk of it. Hopefully I manage to finish this book next month, before seeing the film.
