July Wrap Up

In July I managed to read a total of eight books. Some of these were books that I have been wanting to read for a while now and last month I finally managed to find the time to actually get them read. I read a range of different genres this month, and I really enjoyed it. It made the reading very varied and I didn’t find myself getting bored of reading, like I have been feeling the past couple of months.

The books I read in July-

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

I was really excited to start this series because I had heard so many great reviews about it. I have to say that I enjoyed this book much more than City of Bones. I connected with the characters really early on, and found the story much more interesting and engaging compared to the first book in The Mortal Instruments series.

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

After reading Clockwork Angel, I was a little hesitant in jumping back into this series so quickly because I thought I might be a little let down. However I was wrong and I enjoyed every page. Even though this was a chunky book I did manage to read this book quicker than the rest in the series.

I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson

This was another book that I had expectations for before starting to read it. So many people in the book community had so many great reviews for this book and the hype was pretty high. I wish I didn’t fall for the hype though because I felt a little let down by this book.

Roar by Cora Carmack

This has to be the prettiest book cover for this month, I think it is absolutely stunning. I received this book in June’s Fairyloot box, and after reading the description I had to start reading immediately. I am so glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it a great start to a very interesting series.

Wing Jones by Katherine Webber

I went into this book blindly, even though I have had it sitting on my self for some time. I really didn’t know what to expect but I have to say that I really did enjoy it. I could not tell this is a debut novel for the author because it read like she has been reading books for many years. I will definitely be reading more books by Katherine Webber.
