Unboxing May Fairyloot

img_4214The theme for May’s Fairyloot was Warriors & Legends, and I was very excited to see what sort of items they would include in the box. I had really high hopes for this box, and I have to say that I wasn’t disappointed. All the items fitted the theme really well and I liked the range of different types of items.

The first item in the box was this Warriors & Legends tea, made by The Tea Leaf Co. This green tea is exclusively made for this box, and has hints of Lychee and Jasmine. I have never tired tea like this before, but if it tastes anything like it smells, I know I am going to love the taste.

The second item was this Mist Candle, made by In The Wick Of Time. There was two different scents sent out in the boxes, Flame and Mist. I received the mist scent and I have to say that I love the sent. As soon as you open the lid the warm stone and woodsmoke scents escape and fill the room. I also like how the author of the book chose the names for both the scents and they both relate to the book somehow.

Another item featured in the box were these pair of Celtic Socks, made by Fairyloot. I really like the Celtic knot pattern on the socks, and they feel like they are made of really high quality materials.

An item that I really like from this box was this One Ring Woodmark, made by Ink and Wonder. The bookmark is made from sustainably sourced wood, with a quote from Lord of the Rings, and an epic design. I love how vibrant the colours are on the bookmark, they really stand out and make the bookmark very eye catching.

Also included in the box was this Metallic Feathered Pen, made by Flora’s Wonder Emporium. I thought this was something new and different from what they normally include in the boxes. It is something that you would not get somewhere else, and I think it really fits in with the rest of the items in the box.

In this box there was two books included. The first book was this World Mythology in Bite-Sized Chunks by Mark Daniels. First off, I really like the cover for this book and it looks like something I would enjoy reading. I think that everyone who knows very little about different myths would benefit reading a book like this. Again this was another item that definitely fitted in with the theme of the box.

Finally the main book featured in this box was Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh. I did have a feeling that this book would be the one in this box, and I am so happy it is. I have been wanting to read this ever since I first read about it, I am so glad I have it now. The book also came with a signed book plate, bookmark and a letter from the author.

Overall Thoughts

img_4218

I really liked all the items in this box. Normally there is at least one item in a box that I know I will never use or need, but in this box I think I will make use of all the items. I again liked how most of the items were exclusively made by different companies, just to be used in this box. When this happens it makes the box feel a bit more special and worthwhile because you are getting items that no one else would be able to get.

If you are thinking to subscribing to FairyLoot then I would suggest signing up to their Newsletter and they will get in contact with you with new themes and the date for when the boxes become available to order.

I have already subscribed to the next box, which has the theme of Elementalists. I am excited to see what items they have planned to featured in the box because I love anything to do with powers and the elements.
