I managed to read a total of 7 books in May. I think I could of read more but I experienced a little reading slump. One week I barely read anything, and I didn’t feel very motivated to pick up a book. But now I think I’m over the slump and now back reading.
The books I read in May-
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas
This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, and I have to say that I enjoyed every minute reading it. As soon as I started reading the book I was transported back into the world and I never wanted to leave. I am excited to see what will happen in the next book in the series.

Noah Can’t Even by Simon James Green
I absolutely loved this book. It was funny, smart, different and a very enjoyable read. I managed to read this in only a couple of sittings and I didn’t want it to end. I am so happy to learn that there will be a sequel to this, I cant wait to see what adventures and mishaps Noah will get up to next.

False Hearts by Laura Lam
False Hearts is a gripping, edge of your seat thriller, that is very difficult to put down when started. I thought the book was brilliant throughout, and I finished it in a couple of days. The story is different and very engaging, it had me glued to every page and I found it really hard to put down.

When Dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
After reading so many great reviews about this book I went into it with very high hopes. Overall I did enjoy the book, even though I thought the story was lacking something original. But if you are looking for a diverse book with great writing, and interesting and engaging characters, then When Dimple met Rishi, is the perfect summer read.

Release by Patrick Ness
I have only read two Patrick Ness books before reading Release and I loved them both, so my expectations for this book were pretty high. I am not going to lie that it did take me a little while to get into this book, but once I got into it I couldn’t put the book down. I just wish that the book was a little longer.

Book of the Month
This month was very difficult to pick a favourite because I have read some really amazing books. But in the end I decided to go with Noah Can’t Even by Simon James Green. Noah Can’t Even is a genuinely hilarious coming of age story, that will make you cry with laughter and warm your heart. I connected with Noah so much that I started to forget that I was reading a story about a fictional character. I think a main reason why I loved this so much was because it is written so beautifully and I can’t wait to read more about from the author.
