April Wrap Up

I had an epic reading month in April, I managed to read so many books. In the month of April I managed to read a total of ten books. I really enjoyed reading all of these books and I think I managed to read a wide range of different genres, and it made my reading month a bit more exciting.

Below is my thoughts and ratings for all the books I read in April-

The Wanderers by Meg Howrey

I really enjoyed reading The Wanderers. I haven’t read much science fiction books, so before starting this I was exciting to diving into a book about space. Now having read the book I wouldn’t say its a normal science fiction story, yes the book is about space, but for me the story is more about the characters.

Here Be Witches by Sarah Mussi

I really enjoyed Here Be Witches. It kept me glued to my seat, and made it very difficult to put down. Once I started reading I was swept away into the mystical world and I never wanted to leave. It has left me wanting to read more from this series.

The Inventory Series by Andy Briggs

When I got offered to read and review The Inventory series by Andy Briggs, I excepted straight away, because after only reading the blurb for the first book I knew that this series is a must read for me. It has gadgets, dangerous weapons and action, so it has everything you need for a thrilling series. Now having read the first three books, I have to say I love all the books.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

I was reading ACOTAR as part of my re-read of the series, readying myself for the release of A Court of Wings and Ruin. I loved being able to read about this world again, and I enjoyed reading about all the characters. I found the book to be just as enjoyable to read the second time, as it was the first time.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

After reading ACOTAR I couldn’t wait to read ACOMAF because I loved reading about the characters and the world. Even though the book is really chunky I could of read it in a couple of sittings because I became so invested in the story. But I wanted to stretch it out a little more for the release of ACOWAR.

Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

After seeing this book all over social media the past couple of months I decided to buy it and actually see what all the fuss was about. I am so glad I did because this book is amazing. I managed to read the entire book in a couple of sittings, and I was so sad when I got to the end. I loved the story and the characters and I didn’t want it to end.

The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

After reading Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda I had high hopes for this book, and I have to say that I absolutely loved it. The story again was so engaging and interesting, that I had the book read in just over a day. This book was so easy to lose yourself in and once finished will leave you feeling a little sad that you finished the book so quickly.

The Flash: The Haunting of Barry Allen by Clay Griffith and Susan Griffith

I absolutely loved this book, it had the same amazing energy as the show and I cant wait to read the second book in this crossover series. Reading the book is like watching an extended edition of the TV show. It has all the favourite characters present and has a really interesting and exciting storyline.

Book of the Month

This month I have decided to go with Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. This book deservers all the praise its been getting and I cant believe I waited so long to read this book. Simon is such a relatable and interesting main character to read about and was one of the reasons I read this book in a couple of sittings. Even though I have only read two books by Becky Albertalli, I have to say she has become one of my favourite authors because I find her writing so engaging. I cant wait to read more books by her in the future.
