February Wrap Up

This month mostly consisted of re-reads in preparation for new books in the series, but there were also some brilliant new books I read and absolutely enjoyed reading. I didn’t manage to read all the books I planned to read on my TBR, but I’m happy with the books I did read because none of them were under 4 stars.

Below is my thoughts and ratings for all the books I read in February-

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

This is a re-read because I wanted to immerse myself back into the world before reading King’s Cage. I really liked re-reading this because it confirmed all the reasons why I love this book and series.

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

Again re-reading this again before starting King’s Cage. I found this a little harder to get into compared to when I read it last year. But once I pushed through the beginning I toughly enjoyed reading this.

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

I listened to this on an audiobook when I had a cold and found it hard to read a book. I was gripped from the start and I managed to finish the entire book in one sitting. I really enjoyed this book and it got me excited to read History Is All You Left Me, which is also by Adam Silvera.

History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera

After reading More Happy Than Not and really enjoying it, I had really high hopes for this book. I wasn’t disappointed, even though it did destroy me emotionally and left me crying into its pages.

A Darker Shade Of Magic by V. E. Schwab

Another re-read for me again before reading A Conjuring of Light. I loved reading about this world and its characters again. I can see myself re-reading the entire series over and over again and never getting bored with it.

A Gathering of Shadows by V. E. Schwab

Its seems to me that this series gets better and better the more time you read it. I noticed new things while re-reading this book again, and even though I knew what was going to happen at the end it still shocked me and left me waiting for the final book.

A Conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab

This book was my most anticipated read of this year. I have been waiting to read this book for an entire year and now I have finally finished this fantastic series. I did not know what to expect when going into this book, but by the end I had tears in my eyes and a feeling that it would be hard to read a better ending to a series than this.

Book of the Month

A Conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab has to be my book of the month. It managed to exceed all the hype and my expectations and it left me knowing that this would be one of my favourite series of all time. This book had everything you need for a perfect closer for a series and I couldn’t be happier on how it ended, even if I was in tears by the end. If you have not read the Darker Shade of Magic series I would highly recommend you start it because you wont be disappointed.
