January Wrap Up

The first month of the year started off really well for reading, I managed to read a total of 8 books. I did towards the end of the month fall into a little reading slump that did stop me from reading for a while. But I soon fought my way out of it and finished the last two books. I didn’t keep to my TBR completely because I was sent a few books for review and I couldn’t wait to start them.

Below is my thoughts and ratings for all the books I read in January-

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

I absolutely loved this book even though it destroyed me emotionally. I can definitely see myself re-reading this book for years to come.

Book of the Month

The One by John Marrs. This book blew me away with is exciting and addictive story, its beautifully developed characters and the stunning writing. I have already lent my copy of to friends and they all agree how amazing the book is. Its full of twists and turns that you didn’t think were even possible and will have you on the edge of your seat throughout. I was a little sad when I got to the end because I never wanted to finish reading it. I could not recommend this book enough, definitely go and check it out.
