October Wrap Up

This month I dedicated the month to read mostly scary and spooky books in honour of Halloween. I loved reading them all and I had some great reads this month. Below are the books I read and the ratings I gave them .

I love the suspense and tense in all of Sarah Rayne’s books,and this one is no different, its a great read.

The Wolves of London by Mark Morris

I was sent this gritty fantasy series for review and after reading the first book I will definitely be carrying on with it because The Wolves of London is a brilliant read.

Its a good book and I managed to read it in one sitting, I just don’t think I will re-read it again.

Contagion by Teri Terry

I saw this book all over Social media over the summer and I was very excited to read it. I did enjoy the book, it was very different to what I was expecting but I did enjoy reading it.

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, I just think I went into it with too high expectations. I was let down a little bit by the book, but its still a stunning start to a series.

The Graces by Laure Eve

The Graces blew me away, its an amazing book that had me hooked from the very beginning to the end.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

I loved The Lunar Chronicles, so I was excited to read this. It definitely didn’t disappoint, a brilliant re-imagination of the Queen of Hearts.

Favourite Read of the Month

 

My favourite read of October is Illuminae and Gemina. I can’t pick between them because they are both such amazing books. I would recommend anyone to start this series if you haven’t already.
